1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how MixVibe (the “App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects information about you when you use the MixVibe mobile application and this website. MixVibe is an AI cocktail and mocktail advisor. Wherever possible, the App is designed to work offline: your recipe library and bar inventory live on your device. By using MixVibe, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data, only as needed to operate the App:

Account data. When you sign in, authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication. Depending on the method you choose, this includes your email address and basic profile information from email, Google or Apple sign-in. We do not receive or store your social-account passwords.

Approximate location. With your permission, we use your approximate location to power weather-, seasonal- and locale-aware drink recommendations and hyper-local ingredient swaps. You can decline or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings; the App remains usable without it.

Camera photos. With your permission, the camera bar scanner lets you photograph your shelf so the App can recognise bottles and ingredients using AI. Images are used to generate recommendations and are not used to identify individuals.

Usage & diagnostics. We collect limited, aggregated usage and diagnostic data (such as feature usage, crashes and performance metrics) to keep the App stable and to improve it.

3. How we use data

We use the data above to: authenticate you and maintain your account; generate context-aware recommendations, swaps and mocktail conversions; recognise bottles and ingredients you photograph; operate and moderate the in-app community; provide customer support; and maintain, secure and improve the App. We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. AI processing

Some features rely on artificial-intelligence services. We use Google Gemini via Firebase AI Logic and, in some cases, OpenAI. To deliver these features, the images and queries you submit (for example, a bar-scanner photo or a chat message to the AI bartender) may be transmitted to and processed by these providers on our behalf. We send only the data necessary for the feature to function, and we do not authorise these providers to use your content to build profiles about you.

5. Third-party processors

We share data with the following service providers strictly to operate the App: Google / Firebase (authentication, hosting, analytics and AI Logic), OpenAI (AI processing), and Open-Meteo (weather data for the context engine). Each processor is bound to use the data only to provide its service to us.

6. No selling of personal data

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

7. Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the App. Diagnostic data is retained for a limited period in aggregated or de-identified form. Camera photos used for recognition are processed transiently and are not retained beyond what is needed to return a result, unless you choose to save a result. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to it.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. These rights are provided in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Türkiye Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your identity before responding.

10. International transfers

We and our processors may store and process data in countries other than your own, including outside Türkiye and the European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it.

11. Age restriction

MixVibe is intended for adults of legal drinking age (18+, or higher where required by local law). The App is not directed to minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the legal drinking age. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, please contact us so we can remove it.

12. Cookies & analytics on the website

This website may use essential cookies and limited, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings. The marketing website does not require an account.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
